CompTIA Network+ Certification

Our Network Engineering curriculum includes a complete certification package for the CompTIA Network+, a globally recognized vendor-neutral data networking certification.

Possessing a Network+ validates that a candidate has the equivalent of nine months of network administration experience, and can physically construct a business-grade data network and manage the systems and devices on it.

After completing our CompTIA Network+ certification package, you are all set to earn your Network+ certification. All you need to do is pass the actual Network+ certification exam.

CompTIA Network+ Exam Overview

In order to achieve your Network+ certification, you need only pass a single certification exam: the CompTIA Network+ Exam. The exam is 90 minutes long and consists of 100 multiple-choice questions.

The CompTIA Network+ Exam is administered by two main testing companies, "Prometric" and "Pearson VUE", both of which operate testing centers throughout the world. The exams are exactly the same, and you are free to use either exam proctor, so you should choose based on who has the nearest and most convenient testing center.

To schedule an exam, you can visit the website of either Prometric (www.prometric.com) or Pearson Vue (www.vue.com).

The total cost to take the CompTIA Network+ certification exam is USD $250 or equivalent. The exam can be retaken as many times as needed, as long as there is a 5 day window between each time sitting the exam.

Taking the Network+ Exam

When scheduling the Network+ Exam, you will be instructed to select a testing center, as well as the time and date on which to sit the exam.

The exam is administered via computer. When you sign in at the testing center on the day of the exam, you will be logged onto a computer there and can proceed to work through it. Complete instructions are provided at the time you take the exam.

The exam results are provided immediately upon completion of the exam, so you'll know right away if you successfully earned your certification.

After Passing the Exam

As soon as you pass the Network+ Exam you achieve the official status of CompTIA Network+ Certified Networking Professional. You can then list the Network+ credential on you resume, and potential employers can go to CompTIA's website to verify it.

Within 6-8 weeks after passing the Network+ exam, you will receive official certification validation materials from the CompTIA, recognizing your achievement and your network certification status.
